Swimming Pool Garden

Residential, Gerrards Cross

This client is redeveloping their house and wanted a garden for entertaining and relaxing in that would match the new, substantial family home they are planning to create

The garden currently benefits from a number of mature trees and looks onto woodland at the bottom of the property. It also slopes away from the house fairly steeply and therefore some terracing was needed to create usable spaces. This provided an opportunity to bring planting up close to the house in planting beds at the house terrace level and then step down through the garden, creating individual terrace spaces

A key feature was the additional of a swimming pool along with space to entertain family and guests

Beyond the pool, the garden begins to blend into the woodland and this area will be remain a more naturalistic woodland setting

Swimming Pool

The new swimming pool with its own terrace with loungers will feel secluded due to the surrounding planting

Stepping Down

New terraces start at the house threshold level and step down through the garden, incorporating structured evergreen planting to provide interest throughout the year

Dining Terrace

A generous dining terrace is located outside the kitchen and a morning coffee terrace mirrors it. Wide steps lead down to a water feature and onwards down the garden

Birds Eye View

Generous terraces lead down from the house to the swimming pool and the woodland garden beyond

Woodland View

A view of the existing mature trees is enhanced by the terrace which drops down and frames the view
