Beech Waye, Gerrards Cross

This project involved a complete redesign of the site, centred around the construction of a substantial new family home. The client wanted a garden to match, including a new swimming pool.

The site slopes steeply away from the house, which led to a design incorporating a series of terraces. At the top, directly outside the new kitchen, is a dining terrace, which steps down to a mid-level space for relaxation before descending to the stunning new pool.

Across the rear of the house, additional level changes were introduced to gently transition down to the lawn, avoiding the sense of a sheer drop or cliff edge. The result is a garden that feels entirely at home in its setting, with spaces that flow naturally down the slope, inviting exploration while also offering places to pause and enjoy the views and sunshine.

The garden benefits from several mature trees and overlooks woodland at the bottom of the property. Beyond the pool, the landscape has been left largely as lawn, with additional tree and woodland planting introduced to soften the boundary and create a seamless transition into the woodland beyond.
