A Riot of Colour

This year, everything in the garden is weeks behind where it was last year, due to the cold, wet, endless Spring we had. Suddenly though, summer flowers are starting to bloom. In my garden, I have echinaceas, agapanthus and dahlias in pots outside my patio doors so I get a riot of colour throughout the summer. Here are a few of them coming to life!

I love finding unusual varieties and trying them out in pots - my favourites might make it into my garden (and client's gardens) on a more permanent basis. Check out this unusual Echinacea.... Echinacea 'Green Twister'. It goes beautifully with the pink (Echinacea purpurea 'Sensation Pink') and white (Echinacea purpurea 'White Swan') either side below.

...and the agapanthus will be out very soon!
